Sign up terms
Signing up to the mailing list is subject to the following Terms and Conditions (‘Conditions’) and by signing up to join the mailing list you agree to be bound by these conditions.
1. By signing up you agree to be added to the Events mailing list operated by Visit Gloucester (owned and operated by Gloucester City Council).
2. By being on this list, you agree to be sent information about events promoted by Visit Gloucester, not just those in relation to Gloucester 200.
3. You may contact us to unsubscribe at any time, or you can click on 'unsubscribe' options on all mailings
4. The sign-up box on the homepage of the Gloucester 200 website does not enter you into a prize draw. That prize draw only refers to the suggested name submission and subject to additional terms below.

5. Gloucester City Council accepts no responsibility for submissions incorrectly submitted due to entrant human error, transmission errors, website malfunction, computer error or otherwise.
Data protection
6. Any personal information relating to sign-ups will be used by the Council in accordance with its data protection policy which can be found here.
Name submission terms
(Valid to 31 Jul 2026)
Name submissions are subject to the following Terms and Conditions (‘Conditions’) and by suggesting a name for the celebrations, you agree to be bound by these conditions.
1. All submissions must be made by 11pm (GMT) on 5 July 2026 (‘Closing Date’).
2. Submission is open to persons who are resident in the United Kingdom, and also to persons who are resident outside of the United Kingdom provided that they able to submit without breaching any law or regulation of the jurisdiction in which they are resident.
3. Submitting a suggested name for the bi-centenary celebration means that that name will be passed forward for consideration.
4. We do not guarantee you will be contacted if the name you suggest is selected.
5. By submitting a suggested name, you agree to sacrifice all rights, intellectual property and other, to that name, were it selected for use for this project.
6. You agree that copyright, and all other rights, for the selected name(s) will be transferred to and held by Gloucester City Council in perpetuity, who reserve the right to use the selected name for any purpose, in all jurisdictions, in perpetuity.

Name submission giveaway terms
(Valid to 31 Jul 2026)
The name submissions-linked prize draw (the ‘draw’) is subject to the following Terms and Conditions (‘Conditions’) and by suggesting a name for the celebrations you are bound by the Conditions above. Where you specify you wish to be part of this prize draw by 5 Jul 2026, you are entering the draw and you agree to be bound to the following additional conditions.
1. All submissions must be made by 11pm (GMT) on 5 July 2026 (‘Closing Date’).
2. The draw is open to persons who are resident in the United Kingdom, and also to persons who are resident outside of the United Kingdom provided that they able to enter the draw without breaching any law or regulation of the jurisdiction in which they are resident.
3. Employees of Gloucester City Council, their relatives or any agents or employees are not eligible to enter the draw.
Prize-winners
4. If you choose to enter the prize draw, prize-winners will be selected and notified by 1 Aug 2026 at the latest, by email. One submission will be selected at random via software. There will only be one winner.
5. The winner will receive the a Gloucester Gift Card with a value of £50.
